GKs Restaurant

We started GKs Restaurant here on Court Road because we wanted a place where folks in Gurdaspur could just sit and eat without any fuss. It's right near the DTO Office in the Civil line area, so it’s easy to find if you're out doing errands. We’ve been here for a while now. The kitchen gets busy around lunch, especially with people coming from the courts nearby. We don’t have fancy decorations or anything like that. Just tables, chairs, and the food we cook every day. Some days are quieter than others. My nephew helps out with the serving when he's not busy, and we try to keep things clean. People mostly come in for a quick bite or to pack something for home. We know a lot of the regulars by name now. It’s nice seeing the same faces. Sometimes the traffic on Court Road gets a bit much, but it’s part of being in this spot. We just focus on getting the orders right and making sure nobody leaves hungry. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in town. We're just GKs. If you happen to be passing by the DTO office and need a meal, you can drop in. We usually have something ready. It's just a simple setup here. We do our own shopping for vegetables every morning at the local market. That’s how we’ve always done it. It works for us and the people who eat here.
