About Vindhya Chironji Agro Welfare Foundation – Agriculture & Farming in Guna
Our group is called Vindhya Chironji Agro Welfare Foundation. We operate out of HIG-71 in Shankaracharya Nagar, which is in the Bagsewniya area. It’s a residential-feeling spot, but we do our agro work from there. We focus a lot on Chironji because that’s what we know. It is a specific kind of work, and it takes a lot of patience. We aren't a big factory or anything like that. We are more of a foundation that looks out for the people involved in this trade. Bagsewniya has grown a lot lately, so there’s more traffic now than there used to be. We spend our time talking to collectors and workers. It’s not always about making a huge profit; it’s more about keeping the welfare part of things going for the local families. We have some desks and some storage space at HIG-71. It gets a bit crowded when everyone shows up at once to discuss the harvest. We don't have a lot of polish. Our walls could probably use a new coat of paint, to be honest. But we get the work done. People come to us when they have questions about the agro trade or need help with the foundation's activities. We just try to be helpful and keep the tradition of Chironji work alive in this part of the city. It’s a steady life, and we like the people we work with every day. It's home for us.
