Nowgong Kisan Producer Company Limited is a group of us who live and work around Chhatarpur. Our main spot is H.No.10 Bhatta Ka Bangla, which most people around here know. It’s a familiar place in Nowgong and that’s why we chose it for our base. We are just local farmers, or "kisans" as we say, who thought it was a good idea to join up. Dealing with the markets and the seeds can be a real headache if you’re just one person. Here at Bhatta Ka Bangla, we get together and figure out the best way to move forward. There are plenty of days where we just sit and talk about the soil or the price of diesel. It’s not always easy and sometimes we disagree on things, but we always find a way to make it work. We don’t have fancy brochures or a PR team. We just have our names and our word. If you come to the Bangla, you’ll likely find one of us sorting through something or talking to a neighbor. We take pride in the work we do in the fields and this company is just a way to protect that. We keep it simple and focus on what needs doing today.
