Our company is located in Godi Khas, which is a little village near Kairabari. If you're looking for us, just ask for Chaya Rai’s place. That’s where we do most of our administrative work and where we meet up. We are a group of farmers from around this area. We got tired of having no say in how our crops were sold, so we started this producer company. It’s not a big operation with a lot of machinery. Most of what we do is manual and involves a lot of talking to our neighbors. We sit around, look at the books, and try to plan for the next season. The 233233 area is home to us. Life here revolves around the seasons and what the ground gives us. We don't have much time for fancy talk or business jargon. We just want to make sure the people who grow the food actually get the money for it. Sometimes the paperwork gets confusing, but we help each other out. It’s a community effort more than anything else. We’ve all known each other since we were kids, so there’s a lot of trust involved. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. It’s honest and it’s local. There isn't much more to it than that, really. We just take it day by day and hope for good rain. Everyone helps out at the Godi Khas office.
