Maheshwari Marble Udyog

If you drive down Bannerghatta Road, you will find us at 30/3 in the marble market area. It is a dusty place, as you can imagine with all the stone around. Maheshwari Marble Udyog isn't a place where you wear your best clothes because everything ends up covered in a fine layer of white powder by noon. We have been here in this yard for a good bit of time. It is a lot of heavy lifting and moving slabs around. We have a small cabin where we sit to do the accounts, but mostly we are outside or near the gate. The traffic on Bannerghatta Road is always a mess, so we hear the honking all day long. It's not a quiet job, that is for sure. We just handle the stone and talk to the builders who come by. We don't have any fancy brochures or a sales team. We just show people what we have in stock and tell them the price. It's a very basic way of doing things, but it has worked for us so far. Some of the machines are old and make a lot of noise, but they still get the job done. We spend most of our time making sure the loading is done right so nothing breaks. It is hard work, and at the end of the day, we are all pretty tired. That is just how life is at the marble market. It is not glamorous but it is what we do.
