Dholpur & Marble Pathar

Our business is located near the Spa Boys Hostel in Taimoor Nagar, which is part of Maharani Bagh. We deal in Dholpur stone and other types of marble pathar. It is a bit of a strange spot being near a hostel, but we have been here for a while and it works for us. We have piles of stone slabs leaning against the walls. People who are building houses in the Maharani Bagh area often stop by to see what we have. We don't have any brochures or a sales team. It is just us standing out there with the stone. The area can get quite dusty because of all the stone we move around. We have a small desk where we do our accounts and it is usually covered in a thin layer of grit. Taimoor Nagar is a busy place and the traffic can be quite bad in the afternoons. Sometimes the trucks bringing in new stone get stuck in the narrow lanes. We don't mind the chaos too much. We just focus on the work at hand. We show people the different textures of the Dholpur stone and explain how it wears over time. It is a natural product so every piece is a bit different. We don't try to hide the imperfections in the stone. We think it looks better that way. It is just a simple, practical business and we are happy with how things are.
