Arawali Marbles & Mines

Arawali Marbles & Mines is located over in Dwarka Sector 7 at B-88. It is a decent spot tucked away in the neighborhood. We deal with various types of stone that come from the mines. Dealing with marble is a heavy job. Every day involves a lot of lifting and moving slabs around the yard. The white dust settles on everything, especially our boots and the old wooden desk in the corner. We get a lot of local folks coming in from around the sector. They usually want something for their home renovations or small repairs. We just show them what is available in the back. Sometimes the shipments from the mines are late, which can be frustrating, but we manage. The office isn't much to look at, just a desk and some chairs where we talk to customers. It can get pretty loud when the cutting machines are running. We have been here at this address for quite some time now. You learn a lot about different types of stone just by handling them every day. Some slabs have more veins than others and you can see the difference when they are polished. We don't do much talking; we just show the stock. If someone likes a piece, we help them get it moved to their truck. It is honest work. The weather affects us a lot since a good portion of our stock sits outside in the open air. Rain makes the marble look different than when it is dry.
