We deal in marble mostly. It’s heavy work, moving those pieces around. Most of our days are spent showing people different patterns and colors. Marble is natural, so no two pieces are ever really the same, which keeps things interesting. The dust gets everywhere, on our clothes and in the office, but that’s just part of the marble business. We have a small crew that helps with the loading and unloading when the trucks arrive. Sometimes the trucks are late, and we just sit around chatting until they show up. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights. It’s just the slabs leaning against the walls and us walking around with a bucket of water to show how the colors look when they're wet. It’s honest work. People come to us when they're building a new house or fixing up a floor. We tell them what we know about the different types of stone and let them decide for themselves. We aren't trying to push anyone into buying something they don't need. We just like seeing the finished product once it's installed in someone’s home. It’s been our way for a long time now and we plan to stay here.
