Bhati Marbles & Granite

Bhati Marbles & Granite is situated right opposite Sector 36. It’s a good location because it's easy to get to, and there is plenty of space for the stone we keep. We have a mix of granite and marble, and the yard is usually full of slabs of all sizes. Working with stone is a bit different than other jobs. You have to be careful not to crack anything, and it's physically demanding. We spend a lot of time outside in the yard, even when it’s hot. The sun beats down on the granite, and it gets quite warm. My name is Bhati, and I run things here with some help from the guys. We don't have much of an office, just a small cabin where we keep the ledger and a few samples. Most people prefer to walk around the yard anyway to see the full slabs. It gives a better idea of how it will look in a kitchen or a bathroom. We see a lot of builders and homeowners coming through. Some know exactly what they want, and others need to look at every single piece we have. We don't mind either way. We take it one day at a time here. When the day is over, we’re usually pretty tired, but it feels good to have moved some heavy stone. It’s a simple life, and we like being across from Sector 36. It feels like home to us.
