Maheshwari Marble Industry

Our place, Maheshwari Marble Industry, is located at A-53 on the GT Karnal Road in Azadpur. It is a very busy part of the city with a lot of trucks moving in and out all day long. Being right on the main road means we get a lot of noise and dust from the traffic. We have a large area where we store the marble blocks and slabs. Most of our day is spent unloading heavy shipments that come in from the quarries. It is hard work and requires a lot of people to help out. We have been at this Azadpur location for many years now. The office is small and usually filled with samples of different stones and some old ledgers. We don't really do any fancy displays or have big lights. People come in, they look at the actual slabs in the yard, and they decide what they want based on the patterns. It is a very direct way of doing business. The weather can be tough here, especially when it rains and the yard gets a bit muddy under the heavy slabs. We try to keep the stone clean, but it is a constant job in this industrial area. A lot of contractors and builders stop by because we are right on their path to the job sites. We just show them what is in stock today. There is no pressure. We just do our work and make sure the trucks are loaded correctly.
