Rawatsar Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our group is made up of farmers from the Rawatsar area in Hanumangarh district. We set up our office in Ward Number 17, which is the place of Tara Chand Bihani. In this part of Rajasthan, we are lucky to have the canals, so we grow a lot of things like wheat and cotton that you do not see in the desert parts. We decided to start this producer company because it is much easier to manage the harvest and sales when we all work together. We are not business professionals who went to fancy schools. We are just people who know how to work the land and deal with the irrigation water. The office is a very basic place where we meet to discuss the upcoming season or the current market rates. It is often noisy with everyone talking at once. We handle the collecting of the crops from different members and then figure out where to send them. It takes a lot of coordination and sometimes things get a little disorganized, but we always figure it out. We do not have a mission or a fancy corporate strategy. We just want to make sure the farming families in our ward can get by and maybe have a little extra for the next year. It is a very direct and honest way of doing business in our small town, and we take pride in that.
