Jayjohar Navfed Farmers Producer Company Limited is based at C/O Lalit Kumar Deharo, Bansla Rampurbansla. We are a group of farmers who wanted to do things a bit differently. Our office is just a room in Lalit’s house in the village. It’s a very quiet area, surrounded by fields and trees. We don't have any staff members in uniforms or a big reception desk. If you come by, someone will probably just pull up a chair for you. We spend our time talking about the rice crops and the weather patterns in Bansla. It’s a simple life and we like it that way. We aren't trying to be a big company that people see on the news. We just want to make sure our families can get by. The paperwork is the hardest part of the job, and we often spend late nights trying to get everything in order. We use a lot of handwritten notes because it’s faster for us. The house is a typical village home with a lot of character. Sometimes the neighborhood dogs come and sit by the door while we work. We don't have a fancy mission statement or anything like that. We just know that if we work together, we have a better chance of success. It’s about the land and the people who work it. That’s all there is to it for us.
