Swaminarayan Dham International School

The campus at Swaminarayan Dham International School is situated right on the Koba Gandhinagar Highway. If you’re driving between Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, you’ve probably seen the Swaminarayan Dham Campus in the Kudasan area. It’s a big space, and it gets quite a bit of sun during the day. We spend a lot of our time walking between the different buildings. It’s a bit of a trek sometimes, especially when it’s hot outside. The school is just a place where we try to keep things organized for the students. We’ve got a lot of desks to keep straight and a lot of schedules to maintain. Gandhinagar is a planned city, so things feel a bit more orderly here than in other places, and our school tries to follow that lead. We aren't doing anything revolutionary; we’re just a group of teachers and staff members who want to see the kids get their work done. Some days are more chaotic than others, like when there’s a sports day or an exam coming up. We don’t use a lot of big words to describe ourselves. We’re just here in 382421, doing the daily work of running a school. The highway is always humming in the background, but inside the classrooms, it’s mostly quiet except for the occasional student asking a question. It's a regular part of the local community and we’ve been here for a good while now, just working.
