Adarsh Gulab Middle School

This school is one of the many small educational spots you will find in Ranip, Ahmedabad. We don't have a complex address with a bunch of flat numbers, we are just right here in the heart of the community. I’ve lived and worked in this area for a long time, so everything feels very familiar. The school is a middle school, which means we focus on the basic years for the children around here. It’s a simple building. We don’t have a flashy sign or a big website. Most of the parents just walk in when they want to talk to us. The classrooms are basic, with the usual blackboards and some old posters on the walls. We have a small courtyard where the students gather for the morning prayer. It gets quite hot in Ahmedabad, so we rely a lot on the ceiling fans to keep things moving. There is no air conditioning or anything like that. We just focus on the lessons and making sure the kids are doing their homework. It’s a lot of routine work. I spend a good portion of my day just making sure the registers are updated and the supplies are stocked. It isn't a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. People in Ranip know us as a place that has been around for the kids for a long time now. We just take it day by day and keep the classrooms running as they should.
