Snehal Uttar Buniyadi Vidyalaya

We are located in Lihoda, which is a quiet area out in Gandhinagar. The school sits at number 22. It’s a basic place, really. We focus on the Buniyadi style of education, which is more about the fundamentals. The building is old but we keep it clean. Kids from the local villages around here walk or bike to get to us every morning. It gets quite dusty in the summer, but that’s just how it is in this part of Gujarat. We don't have a huge staff, just a few of us who have been here for years. We know most of the families in the neighborhood. Life moves a bit slower here compared to the big city. The classrooms are simple with wooden benches. We try to teach the kids what they need for life, not just books. Sometimes the power goes out, but we just carry on with the windows open. It’s a community school. Everyone knows where Snehal Uttar Buniyadi Vidyalaya is if you ask around the village. We have a small playground where the kids spend their breaks. It’s nothing special to look at from the outside, but it serves the community well enough. We’ve been part of Lihoda for a long time now. It’s a quiet life here, but we like the routine of the village and seeing the children grow up year after year.
