Our high school is located in Dehgam, which is part of the Gandhinagar district. It’s a typical local school where the students come to finish their secondary education. The building is made of concrete and has seen better days, but it serves its purpose. We have a courtyard in the middle where we do the morning assembly. It’s a very local atmosphere here. Most of the staff live in Dehgam or nearby villages. We don't have a lot of modern technology; it’s mostly just books and blackboards. The students are generally well-behaved and focused on getting through their classes. We have the science and commerce sections for the older kids. Dehgam is a growing town, and we see more houses being built around us all the time. The school stays the same, though. We have the usual issues like keeping the bathrooms clean and making sure the roof doesn’t leak during the rainy season. It’s a practical environment. We don't use any flashy language to describe ourselves. We are just a high school for the kids in this area. The day starts early and ends when the final bell rings at four. We do our best with what we have, and that’s usually enough for the families who send their children to us. It's just a regular school life here, with teachers checking homework and kids waiting for the weekend. There is nothing fancy about it, just daily work.
