Kurkheda Gram Vikas Farmer Producer Company Limited

Kurkheda Gram Vikas is located out in the Gadchiroli district, specifically in the village of Kumbhitola. We operate out of the home of Rawaji Tanuji Sahare. This area is quite rural, and that’s just how we like it. We are a farmer producer company, but that’s really just a formal name for a group of friends and neighbors who decided to work together. We don't have a big corporate budget or any kind of marketing team. We just have our hands, our tools, and the land we work on. Most of our days are spent out in the fields, checking on the crops and dealing with whatever the local weather throws at us. Gadchiroli has its own set of challenges, and we find it’s better to face them as a group rather than alone. We handle the selling of our produce ourselves so that the individual farmers don't end up getting a bad deal at the market. It’s honest, practical work. We meet at Rawaji’s house to settle the accounts and talk about what we’re going to plant next season. There’s usually a lot of talk about the weather and how much supplies are costing us lately. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We are just local people trying to make a decent living from the land. It’s a tough job with long hours, but it feels right to do it this way. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing.
