Agro Rakshak Farmer Producer Company Limited is located out in Pathargota - Jogisakhara. We are in the Armori area of Gadchiroli. This is a bit of a remote part of Maharashtra, and the land here can be quite wild. We named ourselves Agro Rakshak because we feel like we are the ones looking after the fields in this corner of the district. It is not easy farming in Gadchiroli; you have to be tough to handle the terrain and the isolation. Our office is just a simple building in the village where we gather to plan out our seasons. We do not have a lot of visitors from the big cities. Most of the people we see are our own neighbors and other farmers from Armori. We spend our days dealing with whatever the land throws at us. Sometimes it is too much rain, other times it is not enough. We do not have any polished slogans. We just work. We take the produce from our small plots and bring it together so we can actually get a fair shake. It is a lot of physical labor and there are no shortcuts. We have lived here our whole lives and we do not plan on going anywhere. It is just honest farming in a place that many people forget about. We just keep our heads down and do what needs to be done.
