We might be cleaning seeds or drying out stuff to sell later. It’s a small operation in a small village. Hemraj’s place is where everything happens. We don’t have fancy machines; we use what we have and we work hard at it. The people here have been farming this land for a long time. We decided to form this company so we could have a bit more control over our own lives. It’s not always easy. Sometimes the power goes out or the roads are bad, and everything slows down. But we just keep going. We don’t talk about "innovation" or stuff like that. We just talk about how to get the grain through the mill or how to keep the bugs out of the storage bins. It’s practical, everyday stuff. Most of us have known each other since we were kids, so there’s a lot of trust involved. We’re just a bunch of farmers in Kitadi trying to make a living and keep our families fed. It’s a simple life, but it’s ours and we’re proud of it.
