Chatgaon Narishakti Farmers Producer Company Limited is run by women from the Chatgaon area in Dhanora. We have our setup at the Narishakti Prabhag Sanghrangi, right near the Tehsil office. It is a very rural area, and most of us have spent our whole lives working the land here. This company is our way of trying to take a bit more control over our farming work. Instead of everyone doing their own thing, we pool our crops and look for better buyers together. It’s not a fancy office environment. Most of the time, we are out in the fields or meeting in a small room to look over the numbers. We talk about what’s growing, what the soil needs, and how we can get a fair price for our hard work. The name Narishakti means something to us because it’s the women here who are doing the bulk of the labor and the planning. We don't have a big budget for advertising or anything like that. We just rely on each other and our local knowledge of the Dhanora region. Being near the Tehsil office helps because we can stay updated on any government schemes or paperwork we need to handle. It is a practical, everyday struggle to keep things moving, but we are doing it together as a group. It’s just us, the land, and our community. We handle things as they come and try to keep learning.
