Tnk Matric Hr.Sec.School is situated at Perayur Pirivu in the Salangapalayam area of Ammapettai. It’s a bit of a drive out into the Erode district, but we are easy to find once you get to the 638311 area. The school has been part of this neighborhood for a good while. Most of us who work here live just a few minutes away, so we are very much part of the local scene. The building itself is quite sturdy and sits on a decent patch of land where the kids can run around. We have the standard classrooms and a small office where we keep all the records. It is not a place with a lot of fancy decorations or modern art on the walls. We just have the things necessary for a school day, like desks, maps, and chalk. You will often see parents dropping their kids off in the morning and having a quick chat with us at the gate. It is that kind of place. We focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the students are ready for their tests. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to keep going with the windows open. That’s just life in Salangapalayam. We don’t try to be something we are not. It is just a regular school helping out the local families in Ammapettai with their children's education and making sure everyone stays on track.
