Thalaimalai Cattle & Goat Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out of Neeleyampatty. Our main spot is D.No. 2/101A. If you’re ever in the Anjalammusiri area, you’ll see we’re mostly focused on the animals. Keeping cattle and goats is a full-time job that doesn't really have any weekends or holidays. The animals need feeding and checking on every single day, no matter what. Our company is basically a group of neighbors who all have livestock and wanted to help each other out with things like feed and selling the animals. It’s a dusty, outdoors kind of life. The office in Neeleyampatty is where we keep the records for the vaccinations and the sales, but you’ll mostly find us out in the pens or the grazing areas. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment. It’s mostly just common sense and hard work. Sometimes a goat gets sick or the rains don’t come and the grass stays short, which makes things difficult for everyone. We just talk through the problems and see how we can fix them together. We aren't corporate people with big plans. We just want to make sure our families can keep the herds going. It’s a tough way to make a living, but there’s a lot of pride in seeing the animals healthy and the farm running okay. We just take it one day at a time and do our best with what the land provides.
