Maa Pitambra Traders

Our shop, Maa Pitambra Traders, is at 66, Kattuvalavu West in Ariyagoundampatty. It is a small town and everyone pretty much knows where everything is. We are a small trading business and we keep a lot of different items in stock. The shelves are packed all the way to the ceiling, so it can feel a bit crowded when more than two people are inside. We do not have a website or any of that stuff. We just open up the shutters every morning and wait for people to stop by. Most of our business is done with the locals who live just a few streets away. We spend a lot of time just talking to the customers who come in. Sometimes they stay for a while just to catch up on the news. The street outside is quite narrow and it gets busy on market days. We have an old ceiling fan that wobbles a bit, but we are used to it. We keep our accounts in big paper registers. It is the way we have always done it and it works fine for us. We don't have any big plans to change things or move to a bigger city. We like being part of the community here in Ariyagoundampatty. It is a slow pace and the work is steady. We just try to be honest with everyone and keep the shelves full of what they need.
