Cheren Agro Industries

If you are driving down Uthukuli Road in Vijayamangalam, you will find Cheren Agro Industries at No. 150/4. We have a decent-sized spot here where we do our processing. It is a bit of an older building, but it holds up well and gives us the space we need for the machinery. We work with various agro products, mostly turning raw materials into things that are ready for the market. It’s noisy work because the machines are running most of the day, but you get used to the sound after a while. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby; you just walk in and find someone working. We’ve been part of the Vijayamangalam community for quite some time now, and we hire people from the surrounding houses. There is no big mystery to what we do. We take the crops, process them, and send them on their way. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to spend the whole afternoon fixing it with wrenches and oily rags. Those days are frustrating, but it is part of the job. We don’t try to make it sound more important than it is. It is just an industrial yard where we work hard and hope for a good harvest season so there is plenty to do. The gate stays open most of the day for the incoming deliveries.
