Isha Goat Farm

Isha Goat Farm is located out at 10/113 Ellappalayam. It is a bit of a long drive to get out here to Siruvallur, which is near Gobichettipalayam. We have been working with goats on this land for quite some time now. It involves a lot of very early mornings. The goats start making their noise well before the sun is even up, so there is not much chance for sleeping in late. We spend our entire day cleaning out the pens and making sure every animal has enough to eat and drink. It is physical work and your clothes always end up smelling like the farm by noon. We have a decent amount of land for them to move around on, which is good for the animals. It is not a high-tech operation by any means. We just use the tools we have and focus on keeping the goats healthy. People from the surrounding villages come by when they need a goat for a festival or if they want to start their own small flock. We talk to the local vets quite a bit to keep things running right. The weather plays a massive part in how our day goes. If it rains too much, the ground turns into a muddy mess and every chore takes twice as long to finish. We do not have a website or any social media. Most folks just know where we are or ask for directions at the tea shop. It is a simple life out here. We do not have any office staff doing paperwork for us.
