Srn School

Srn School is located in Rangasamuthram, which is part of the Sathyamangalam area in Erode. It’s a very green part of the country, and the school fits right into that. We are surrounded by fields and a lot of open space. The kids who come here are mostly from the local farming families or people working in the nearby towns. It’s a simple school. We don’t have those big glass buildings you see in the city. Our classrooms are traditional and the playground is just a big open field where the kids play cricket or run around. Every morning, you see the yellow buses picking up children from the smaller villages. The staff knows almost every parent by name. It’s that kind of place. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, but we have enough to teach the kids what they need to know. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed, though we do keep to our schedule. Sathyamangalam is known for its nature, and we try to let the kids enjoy being outside when they can. Life here is about the seasons and the school terms. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. It’s just a local school providing a place for the neighborhood children to grow up together. It gets a bit dusty in the dry months, but the trees keep it shaded. It’s our little corner of Erode where we just get on with it.
