If you ever find yourself in Edayapatti Village, you might see our small office at No.4/49. We are the Kundadam Pongalur Farmer Producer Company Limited. It’s not a big corporate building, just a simple place near the Kokkampalayam Post. Most of us here grew up in these fields around Kundadam and Pongalur. We decided to get together as a group of farmers to handle our own produce and sales because doing it alone was getting harder every year. It’s a group effort, really. Some days it is very quiet, and other days we have ten people in here all talking at once about crop prices or the rain. We don't have a receptionist or fancy furniture. Usually, someone just pulls up a plastic chair and starts talking. We handle everything from seeds to the final harvest logistics. It is a lot of work to manage so many different farmers’ needs. We try to keep things organized on our old desks, but there are always registers and maps lying around. Being in a village means everyone knows where we are. We don't need big signs. It’s more about the people you see every day at the tea shop or in the market. We just want to make sure the work we do helps the local families who rely on the land. It’s a basic life, but we like it.
