Anbalaya Farmer Producer Company Limited is out at 9/443 Marappampalayam in Elavamalai. This is right in the Erode district, which is a big hub for all sorts of agricultural activity. Our setup is a producer company, which means we are really just a group of local farmers trying to work together. The office is right there in the village, so it’s very easy for anyone to walk in and have a chat. We don't have any polished glass windows or air conditioning; it’s just a simple building that fits the village surroundings. Erode is famous for certain crops, and we are part of that whole system. You’ll usually find a few of us sitting around discussing the latest weather or the prices in the market. It’s a very community-focused way of doing things. We know each other's families and the history of the land around Marappampalayam. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit much, and we aren't always the fastest at answering emails, but we get the real work done.
