Tri - Star Seafoods

Tri - Star Seafoods is tucked away on Sreekandath Lane, right off the main MG Road in Ernakulam. We occupy units 39 and 4097. Being in the seafood trade means our schedule is a bit different than most. We are usually up and working long before the rest of the city starts to move. The lane can get really tight when the trucks are trying to load or unload, so there’s always a lot of activity and noise in the early hours. It’s a wet and cold environment because of all the ice we use. We don't have fancy office chairs or carpeted floors. We spend most of our time in rubber boots, making sure the fresh catch is sorted and packed properly. The humidity in Ernakulam can be tough, but we’re used to it by now. We are a small team and most of us have been working together for a long time. There’s no corporate hierarchy here; we all just pitch in wherever we’re needed. We don’t spend money on advertising or big branding projects. Our focus is entirely on the product that comes in every morning. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and long hours on our feet, but it’s the life we know. We’ve been in this same spot for quite a while and we plan to stay here for a lot more years. It's just a part of the city we've grown to love.
