Down in the Industrial Development Area at Edayar, you’ll find us at Vi/78 E. Chilton Refrigeration Pvt.Ltd. has been rooted in this part of Binanipuram for a good while. The Ernakulam District heat can be pretty rough, so the shop floor gets warm, but we’re used to it by now. Our building is a typical industrial shed. It’s got high ceilings and big doors that stay open most of the day. There’s always the smell of metal and maybe a bit of oil in the air. We aren't interested in looking like a tech startup. We have heavy benches, old tools, and plenty of grease around. The guys here usually have dirty hands by noon. We take our breaks together and talk about whatever is happening in Aluva. It’s a hands-on kind of place. If you call us, you aren't going to get a recorded menu; you’ll just get whoever is closest to the phone. Sometimes the rain hits the metal roof so loud we can’t even hear ourselves talk. We just wait it out. There’s a lot of equipment moving in and out, and the yard gets messy sometimes. We clean it up when we can. We just focus on the machines and getting the jobs finished. It’s a practical way to run things, and it works for us here in Edayar. No shiny suits or boardroom meetings, just hard work and iron. It is not always pretty, but it is real.
