St Xaviers International Residential School

This is a residential school located in Angamaly, in an area they call St Xavier Nagar. Since it is a residential place, it feels more like a small village than just a school building. There are dorms where the students stay, and the lights are usually on quite late or very early in the morning. The grounds are fairly large, which is nice for the kids because they have space to move around after their classes are done for the day. Being in Angamaly, we get a lot of students from different parts of the state who come to live here for the term. The atmosphere is pretty steady. You have the academic buildings on one side and the living quarters on the other. In the dining hall, there is always the smell of food being prepared for a large group. It is not a silent place; there is always someone practicing a sport, walking to the library, or just chatting by the gates. We have staff who live on-site too, so there is always someone around if something needs fixing or if a student feels a bit homesick. The classrooms are basic with standard desks and boards. We do not go for anything too luxurious. It is just about providing a place to stay and a place to learn. The local people in Angamaly know the name well since we have been in this spot for years now.
