Baselious Vidyaniketan

Baselious Vidyaniketan is tucked away at 9 /-206, Vettikkal, near the St.Thomas Dayara in Mulanthuruthy. It is a modest building, not one of those massive structures you see in the middle of the city. We like it that way because it feels more like a second home for the students. The day starts early here with the morning bells ringing out. Sometimes the heavy rain in Kerala makes things a bit soggy around the front entrance, but we just put down some mats and keep going. We do not have any fancy mission statements or anything like that hanging on the walls. It is just a place where we teach and the kids learn their lessons. Most of the staff live nearby, so we often see the parents at the local market or at church on Sundays. It makes the whole school feel connected to the neighborhood in a real way. We handle the paperwork and the classes as they come. It is practical, everyday work. The classrooms have the usual desks and boards, nothing too high-tech or flashy.
