Rajagiri College Of Social Sciences

Rajagiri College of Social Sciences is situated out in Rajagiri Valley, in the Ernakulam district of Kerala. The area is quite green, which is a nice change from the crowded parts of the city. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here, but most of the students and staff are used to the commute by now. The buildings are spread out a bit. It’s a place where people are studying things like social work and management. You’ll see students sitting around under the trees or in the common areas talking about their projects. It isn't a silent place; there’s always some discussion going on somewhere. The facilities are functional. We have labs and a library that gets a lot of use. The floors are often a bit worn from all the foot traffic over the years. We have a canteen that serves basic meals and tea, which is where most people hang out between their sessions. It’s a practical college. We don't have marble floors or anything fancy. The focus is really on the work the students are doing in their various courses. We have a lot of paperwork to deal with in the admin blocks, and the desks are usually buried under folders. It’s a busy environment but it feels grounded. People come here from all over Kerala. It’s just a solid place for higher education in the valley.
