Royal Academy

Royal Academy is situated right on the busy M C Road, near the Muvattupuzha Market in Ernakulam. Being so close to the market means there is always a lot of noise from the traffic and the shops downstairs. We are located on the upper floor of a commercial building. It is a very practical location because students can easily catch a bus from the nearby stop. The space we have is not huge, but we have managed to fit in enough chairs and whiteboards for the different batches. It can get a bit crowded in the evenings when most of the students arrive after their regular school hours. We do not have a big lobby or a waiting room, just a small area near the entrance. The rooms are plain and we keep the fans running all the time because it gets warm. Sometimes the local tea shop guy brings us some snacks when we have a break. We handle coaching for various subjects and help students prepare for their exams. The staff here is just a few of us who have been doing this for a long time. We do not do much in the way of advertising; usually, someone’s cousin or neighbor tells them about us. It is just a straightforward place where students come to get some extra help with their books. We close the shutters once the last class is over and head home like everyone else.
