Santhigiri School Of Hotel Management

We are located on N.A.D. Road in the HMT Colony area of Kalamassery. If you head towards the post office, you will find us easily enough. The school is a place where young people come to learn the basics of the hotel world. It is not a fancy university campus. It is more of a practical place with classrooms and a kitchen where things actually happen. You can hear the instructors explaining things throughout the day. We have students coming from all over the local area. They wear their uniforms and we try to make sure they look neat before they start their shifts. The building itself is older and has that solid feel to it. We spend a lot of time making sure the equipment in the kitchen is working. Sometimes the heavy rain in Kerala makes things a bit damp, so we are always wiping down surfaces. We do not have a big mission statement on the wall. We just show people how to set a table properly or how to manage a front desk. It is about doing the small things right every day. The staff here has been around for years and we all know each other well. In the evenings, it gets quiet once the students head home. We lock up the gates and get ready to do it all again. It is a steady life here.
