Sices Board

The Sices Board is based out of the Palarivattom Post area in Kochi. We operate under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. It’s a government-related setup, so the atmosphere is pretty traditional. We handle things related to spices, which makes sense given where we are located in Kerala. The office is full of paperwork, files, and people who have been working here for decades. It’s located in a part of town that’s always moving, but inside the building, things have a slower, more deliberate pace. We deal with the administrative side of the spice industry, making sure regulations are followed and helping out where needed. It’s not a flashy modern office; it has that old-school government feel to it with wooden desks and stacks of documents everywhere. People come in with all sorts of questions about spice exports or quality standards. We do our best to help them out, though sometimes the bureaucracy takes a bit of time. That’s just the nature of the work we do here. The Palarivattom location is convenient for most people to reach. We aren't trying to sell anything, we are just here to manage the oversight and support for the sector as part of the government’s work. It’s a quiet, steady kind of job that keeps the local industry running smoothly without much fuss.
