We are the Parakkode Mythri Banana Farmer Producer Company Limited. Our office is located at 14/279, within the Vfpck Swasraya Karshaka Samithy building in Kurampala P O. As the name says, we focus a lot on bananas. That’s what many people grow in this part of the country. The space we use is part of the local farmers' collective building. It’s a busy place, especially when the harvest comes in and the crates start piling up. We spend our days coordinating with the different members. There are always bunches of bananas being moved or graded in the back. It isn't a clean or quiet office by any means. There’s usually some dirt on the floor and a lot of shouting back and forth about transport trucks. We like it that way because it means work is actually getting done. We are just a group of people trying to help each other sell what we grow. The Kurampala area has some really good soil for this type of crop. Our address at 14/279 is where we keep the books and the phone. We don't have a lot of time for making the place look pretty. It’s all about the fruit and the farmers who grow it. Sometimes we run into issues with the trucks or the weather, but we just figure it out as we go. It’s a real, hands-on business. No one here wears a suit. We are usually in our work clothes, ready to help load things.
