Miley Agro Foods Private Limited is based at Madathikunnel House in Kuravilangad. We are a small outfit that works with food products from the local farms. Operating out of a house makes things feel a bit more personal and less like a cold business. We spend our time looking at what's being harvested and how we can turn it into something useful for people to eat. It’s a lot of trial and error in the kitchen and the storage rooms. We don't have a big factory or a fleet of trucks. Most of our work is done right here on the property. We wanted to stay in Kuravilangad because it’s where we are from and we know the land. The office is really just a desk in a room full of supplies. We don't have any polished slogans or fancy branding. It’s just us, working with the ingredients we can get. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when a big batch of food is being processed, but we get through it. We focus on the quality of the food rather than how the business looks to outsiders. It’s an honest way to spend the day. We are just trying to build something that lasts and provides good food for the community. We take it one day at a time, making sure the jars are filled and the orders are sent out correctly. It is a long process, but seeing the finished product on the shelf makes it feel worthwhile. And we hope to keep doing this for a long time.
