G. R. K. & Company

You can find G. R. K. & Company at Vi/1739 on Palace Road. It is a street that always feels crowded, with shops and houses built right up against each other. Our office is in an older building that has a narrow staircase and a heavy front door. Inside, the rooms are small and the walls are lined with wooden shelves that hold years of records. We do not use much technology beyond what is absolutely necessary. Most of our work is still done with pens and ledgers. There is a certain smell to the place, like old wood and ink, that never really goes away. We have got a small balcony that looks out over Palace Road. Sometimes we stand out there just to watch the chaos of the traffic below. It is a good place to work if you do not mind the noise. We have a small staff, and we have all known each other for a long time. We do not have meetings or presentations. We just sit at our desks and get through the tasks one by one. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to work by candlelight for an hour, but we do not complain. It is just part of being in this part of town. We are not looking to grow into a giant company. We just like doing things the way they have always been done. It is a steady, quiet way to spend the day.
