If you know Cochin, you know how busy Ravipuram Junction gets. We are right there at the heart of it in the Viswabhrathi Building, number 39/4762-A to be exact. It’s on MG Road, so there is never a quiet moment. We’ve got the college set up on one of the floors, and it’s a pretty straightforward space. No big marble floors or glass elevators here. Just rooms for the management studies and an office where we keep all the records. The walk up the stairs is part of the daily routine. We usually arrive early to beat the worst of the MG Road traffic, though that’s hard to do these days. Most of our day is spent answering phones or talking to students who drop by the junction. The building has that old Cochin feel to it. We keep things simple because that’s what works for us. There’s a lot of management talk happening in the hallways, and the whiteboards are usually covered in notes by noon. Lunch is often something quick brought from home or grabbed from one of the many shops downstairs. It’s a practical setup for what we do. Being at Ravipuram means we see a lot of people passing through every single day. We’ve got our rhythm down now, from the way the light hits the office in the afternoon to how we lock up when the sun goes down. It's a lot of work but we stay busy.
