C. K. N. Mehta & Co.

Bazar Road is where you’ll find C. K. N. Mehta & Co. It’s a busy street, always crowded with people and carts moving back and forth. Our office has been here for a long time, tucked away in one of the older buildings. It’s not much to look at from the outside, just a door with our name on it. Inside, things are pretty simple. There are a few desks, some old cupboards filled with files, and a couple of ceiling fans that have seen better days. We start our day quite early, usually before the heat really sets in. The sound of the market is always there in the background, a constant hum of voices and traffic. It’s a practical place for us to work. We don’t go in for anything fancy. Most of the furniture is mismatched and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for what we need. We handle the daily business as it comes, one task at a time. There’s a lot of paperwork, which seems to never end. Sometimes the tea boy from around the corner brings us some chai, and we take a short break. C. K. N. Mehta & Co. isn’t some big corporate firm with a lobby and a receptionist. It’s just us doing our job on Bazar Road. We know the neighbors and they know us. That’s just the way things are here.
