Our place is out in the Baikambady Industrial Area, specifically at plots 281 and 282. Blue Water Foods & Exports (P) Ltd. is right in the heart of where all the action happens near the port. It’s a loud, dusty environment with trucks constantly moving in and out. We handle a lot of seafood, so the smell of the ocean is always around us. The work is physically demanding and depends heavily on what the boats bring in. If the catch is good, we are working late into the night to process everything while it’s fresh. Our facility isn't pretty; it’s built for utility with cold rooms and processing floors that we scrub down every single day. The humidity in Mangalore can be tough, especially when you're moving between the hot outdoors and the freezing cold storage. We have a crew that has been with us for a long time, and they know the routine inside out. We don't have time for fancy meetings or long reports. We just focus on the quality of the fish and getting it packed properly for shipping. Most of our day is spent in rubber boots and heavy jackets. It’s a straightforward business where you get out what you put in. Being in the industrial area means we are surrounded by other factories, so there’s always a sense of everyone just getting on with their jobs and staying busy.
