Baby Marine International

Baby Marine International is based out in Thoppumpady. Our mailing address is Post Box No. 896, but we are physically here in the middle of all the action. Being near the water means there is always a particular smell in the air—mostly salt and fish, which you get used to pretty quickly. The area is always moving. Trucks, boats, and people are everywhere. It’s a hardworking part of town. Our facility isn't something you'd see in a magazine. It’s built for work. We have floors that need constant cleaning and a lot of equipment that needs looking after. The staff here are local people for the most part. We start early, often before the sun is fully up, to get a head start on the day’s tasks. It’s physically demanding work sometimes, and it isn't always clean or comfortable. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or expensive office furniture. We’d rather just have tools that work. When things get busy, it’s all hands on deck. We don't really have time for long meetings or talking about big plans. We just look at what needs to be shipped and we make sure it happens. It’s an honest way to make a living. Thoppumpady has been our home for a long time, and we don’t see that changing. It’s where the work is. You just put on your boots and get to it every morning without overthinking.
