Atlac

Our place is over on Lfc Road in Kaloor, at 44/1049 A, Saman. It’s a busy part of town, so there is always noise from the traffic outside. Atlac is just a small operation. We don’t have a big sign or a fancy lobby. Mostly, it’s just us inside, surrounded by boxes and paperwork. We spend the day answering emails and trying to keep track of where everything is supposed to go. Sometimes the deliveries show up late and we have to stay past closing to get them sorted. It’s a bit messy in the back room where we keep the stock, but we try to keep it organized enough to find things. The tea guy comes by twice a day, which is usually the highlight of the afternoon. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, we just want to get through the orders without too many mistakes. Sometimes we mess up a form and have to do it all over again. That’s just part of it. The neighbors are alright, and we’ve been in this building long enough that the walls feel familiar. It’s a practical kind of job. We don’t use a lot of big words or have long meetings. We just look at what needs to be shipped and we ship it. It’s basic work for basic people who just want to do a decent job.
