Asperos Agro And Spices Private Limited is located over on Thilak Club Road in Ernakulam. Our place is called Geo Cottage, which is where we do all our spice business. It’s a bit of a hidden spot in Ayyappankavu, but we like it that way. We deal with all sorts of spices that come through Ernakulam. The cottage isn't huge, so we have to be smart about how we use the space. Most of the time it smells like ginger or pepper or whatever we are working with that week. We spend our hours talking to traders and checking the quality of the batches that come in. It’s not a desk job where you sit still all day. There is always something to move or a sample to look at. We are a small team and we know each other well. Working on Thilak Club Road is nice because it’s not as crazy as the main city center but still close enough to get things done. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just focus on the spices and making sure the orders are right. Sometimes the shipments are late and we have to scramble to fix it. That is just life in the spice trade. We’ve been in Geo Cottage for some time now and it feels like home to us. It's a simple, hardworking environment for regular people.
