Our place is located at 24/1393 on Venketraman Road. We are out on Willingdon Island, which is a bit of a different world compared to the rest of the city. There are a lot of warehouses around here and you can always see the big ships and the cranes at the docks from the end of the street. Being a trading company, we spend a lot of time on the phone or checking the trucks that come in to pick up goods. The office is simple and functional. We have some old wooden chairs and a lot of ledgers piled up on the shelves. It gets very humid here because of the water being so close, so we usually have the windows open to catch any breeze we can. The road outside can get quite dusty with all the heavy vehicles moving goods around throughout the day. We don't have many walk-in customers since most of our work is done through phone calls and shipments. It is a practical kind of place. We start early in the morning when the sun is just coming up over the harbor. The staff usually brings their own lunch and we eat together in the small back room. There is nothing very exciting about the daily routine, just moving goods and making sure the numbers match up at the end of the day. We like the quiet of the island once the workday is over.
