The Oak Wood

The Oak Wood is part of The Alcor Hotel. We are located at Plot Number 4 on Ram Das Bhatta Road in Bistupur, Jamshedpur. You can’t miss us because we are right opposite the Indian Oil Petrol Pump. Bistupur is a busy part of Jamshedpur with a lot of shops and businesses around. Being on Ram Das Bhatta Road means we get a lot of local traffic. The restaurant is tucked inside the hotel, so it is a bit quieter than the street outside. We have a regular crew in the kitchen and on the floor. Most of us have been working here in Jamshedpur for a long time. We know how the city works and what people around here expect. It is an industrial town, so people appreciate things that are solid and reliable. We do not try to be something we are not. It is just a restaurant where we serve meals to hotel guests and locals who walk in. The morning shift is usually about getting things prepped for the day. By the time the evening rolls around, the place fills up with diners. Jamshedpur can get quite hot in the summer, so the air conditioning is always running. We just focus on the daily tasks like ordering supplies and keeping the tables clean. It is a straightforward job and we just take it one day at a time. That is how we run things here.
