Dastarkhan Restaurant

We are situated in Nagelia Mansion on the main road in Bistupur. If you know Jamshedpur, you know how busy Bistupur Main Road gets. We are right across from the Ram Mandir, so we see the crowds during festivals and on Tuesdays especially. The building itself is an old part of the city. We have been operating here for a long time. People come in after doing their shopping in the market nearby. It’s a good spot for a break. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a corporate handbook. We just show up and get to work. The kitchen is always busy, especially during lunch hours when the office people from around the mansion come in. We try to keep things moving so no one has to wait too long. The view from the window is mostly just the traffic and the temple gates. It’s a lively place to be. We have seen the city change a lot, but this corner of Bistupur stays pretty much the same. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming here since they were kids. Now they bring their own children. It’s just a regular part of their routine. We don’t do much advertising; people just know where we are. We keep the doors open and the food ready for whoever walks in. It’s a straightforward business. We just keep our heads down and cook.
