Grand Restaurant

Sakchi is a very busy place to be, and our spot at 81, Tank Road puts us right in the thick of it. Jamshedpur can get really hot in the summer, and inside Grand Restaurant, the kitchen makes it even hotter, but we have all gotten used to it over the years. We open up early to get everything ready for the lunch crowd. People coming from the market or just passing through the Sakchi area often stop by. We’ve got the old tables and the ceiling fans that have been humming for as long as I can remember. The menu doesn't change much because the regulars like what they like and they expect it to be the same every time. Tank Road has its own rhythm, with the sounds of scooters and people shouting to each other across the street. We don't spend our money on fancy decorations or anything like that. We would much rather just make sure the food is ready on time and the place is clean enough. Sometimes the service is a bit slow when we get a big rush of people, but we do what we can with the hands we have. The staff has been with us for a long time, so they know exactly how everything works. It’s a local restaurant in a local neighborhood, trying to do things right every day without any corporate talk or big fuss.
