You can find us inside the Hotel Asian Inn over in the Dhatkidih area of Jamshedpur. We have been operating here for a while, tucked away from the main noise of the town. It’s a decent-sized space where we have set up our tables and chairs. Most of our guests are staying at the hotel upstairs, but we get plenty of locals coming in too. Jamshedpur is a busy place with all the factories and offices, so people often come in looking for a quiet meal after they finish their work. We don't go in for any of that modern, minimalist decor you see in magazines. It's just a comfortable place with sturdy furniture and clean tablecloths. The kitchen is where we spend the bulk of our time. It’s a lot of work coordinating everything, especially when a large group arrives all at once without calling ahead. We have a small team of cooks who have been working together for years. We don't really advertise in the papers or online much. Word of mouth seems to work best for us in this part of town. Sometimes the power cuts out for a minute or two, but the generator usually kicks in right away. We just keep going with the orders. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We focus on getting the flavors right and making sure the plates are clean. Every day is pretty much the same routine and we like it.
